First informal meeting by the TP team and Team-CT

We held an informal meeting to discuss various issues and the following points were highlighted (along with the outcomes)

Venue

FL suggested the Universal Walkway would be the ideal place for the placement of gaming computers & the stage reserved for other purposes of the event. This area will be large enough for the suggested 42 units of PCs and related booths.

Equipment power requirement

At this stage looking for an estimate of the power consumption/requirment for all gaming servers, machines and peripherals. CT to provide formal estimate - number of Amperes (amp).

e-registration & web presence

Members of the table agreed a electronic registration system is warranted together with an official web presence.  EL says we can't proceed until we know this project has officially gotten the green-light (in view of the cost) but KL/LL says at this stage a 'mock up' and test system would be sufficient.
Team-CT to investigate and do a mock up screen/templates for participant registration.

Rules and objective of the main gaming event

We have the basic structure in place - mixture of knockout & league system. Need an official  "rules & how to win" document so we can publish it in time when we are promoting the event.

Marketing & Promotion

Both teams to run rulers over their respective promotion channels and media to be tabled in the next meeting - basically who is responsible for which channel/media of advertising/promotion.

Letter of authority...

TeamCT requires a letter from FL in order to start approaching material-sponsors such as the game providers.

Registration of participants - who?

Agreed that the side-shows and `mini` competitions do not require registration - just the main event -FIFA2009 Tournament.

Duration of Tournament

EL highlights the economics of having a 10-12 day event -especially if it involves the so-called `pro' gamers. FL agrees to the points highlighted by the proposal document to have the main players involved in the last 3 - 4 days which culminates in the G.Final.
